Euro edges down to $1.3371
Euro edges lower against dollar amid ongoing Greek debt worries, buys $1.3371
BERLIN (AP) -- The euro has edged a little lower against the dollar amid a new round of market jitters over Greece's debt crisis.
The 16-nation euro bought $1.3371 in early European trading Wednesday -- a bit below the $1.3396 it traded at in New York the previous evening.
The euro dropped Tuesday as Greece's borrowing costs shot up following a report, later strongly denied, that Athens wanted to revise a deal providing for a European and International Monetary Fund rescue to prevent a default.
IMF inspectors are due in Athens Wednesday to review progress in government austerity cuts.
The British pound drifted down to $1.5251 from $1.5277, a day after
The dollar crept up to 93.92 Japanese yen from 93.87 yen.
